Quarantine Baking - Fried Pickles & Macaroni & Cheese

We’ve continued baking over quarantine, and sort of switched to savory foods. First up was fried pickles, followed closely by macaroni & cheese.

I’ve realized that we hardly ever actually fry anything, and it’s actually a lot of fun. I’ve made a roux for macaroni and cheese before, and I always marvle that it’s nearly just as easy to make a roux as it is to use the box - the longest part is always boiling the noodles.

This set was topped with bacon and tater tots, making it most similar to the one in Walt Disney World from last summer. We found a similar recipe at Monster Foodies.

We’ve also been teaching her how to make a website and use HTML, at That’s my JAMs.
