Solar update: It works! It’s on! It’s generating power!

After weeks of inspections, installations, and more inspections, the final moment was the PSE woman flipping a switch and saying, “Ok, it’s on now. Let me make sure your meter is set up right.”

The Tesla app is pretty cool. It shows how much power the solar panels are generating at any given time, plus how much your house is using, and whether the battery is charging or discharging. If you like graphs, and I do, it’s very addictive.

So far today, the panels have generated 7 kWh, and the house has used 3.5. So we’re off!
