About
After growing up in Iowa, I moved to Seattle in 2007, and have worked in the tech industry, mostly startups, ever since. My expertise is around databases, data manipulation, dashboarding and cloud operations.
Currently I’m the Lead Database Engineer for Universe.
Previously, I was one of the first programmers hired at Donuts inc, eventually managing their data warehouse team and supporting the financial accounting system, and worked for Knock Rentals, A Place For Mom and drugstore.com.
Over the years, I’ve done some volunteering for the local Maker Faire and enjoy baking, traveling, camping and hiking. I’ve also been known to build ridiculous things in my office, like a miniature golf course.
On the technology side, I’m a big fan of Python, SQL, Apple, Tesla, and clean energy research.
