Over the Christmas break, we took a road trip down the coast to Crescent City, CA and the Redwood National Forest.

I think it’s been a little interesting traveling during COVID, because we’ve seen all the different ways that hotels and restaurants are accounting for it. Most dining rooms aren’t open, so we pretty much car camped and ate all our food in either the car or our hotel room.

Everywhere felt pretty safe, and having a car available for driving definitely let us travel with a few more options.

The Redwood national forest was incredible, and it was good to get out of Seattle and see some sun again. It’s awe-inspiring to realize that the trees you’re looking at are over 1,000 years old, and old enough they don’t even know.
