We didn’t have a lot of time in Vienna - mostly an extended layover - but managed to make the most out of it. Primarily we wanted to see the Belvedere Museum, especially the Klimt exhibit, and it was worth the stop.
The Belvedere palace has some astounding grounds, even in the middle of winter. Of course the art is amazing, but it’s difficult to get pictures of because there’s so many people.
While we were there, we also stopped at the Karls Church, which was amusing because a modern artist had installed 4 huge hanging silver globes in the middle of the church. The idea was to be able to see all 4 walls reflected at once, but between that and the huge construction elevator bolted onto the side of the wall, it made for a strange, old-world vs new- ambiance.
